A couple of friends and I decided to check out this Theatre we’ve driven by a hundred times. The staff is friendly and the theatre is really quaint. Unfortunately, it was the hottest week of the summer and the a/c just couldn’t keep up. Other...More

We decided to hit the Leavitt Theater on our last night in Ogunquit, to see the new Mamma Mia movie. What a treat this theater was! Entering is truly like stepping back in time. Such a cool old building, with a sweet upper level where...More

We saw "Solo", but that was the only thing about this theater that felt like "today". We sat in the balcony at a little table with a candle on it. There were also large overstuffed couches for your viewing comfort and a full bar with...More

Don't miss the beautiful Leavitt Theatre during your visit to Ogunquit. We enjoyed drinks, apps, and a delightful silent film with amazing organ accompaniment. It was a unique and thrilling experience.

We were there for a silent film. The expert who hosted the show and played the accompanying music on the keyboard was very knowledgeable in this type of film. I can't remember his name. Maybe I should've done this as soon as I got home!...More

We saw David Sedaris give a reading here so I can't speak for the quality of the screen, but it is a nice old theatre. Seats are not super comfortable, especially for a 2 hour book reading but I did want to add that they...More

Leavitt theatre is an awesome and decent sized theatre that serves alcohol and food and has a wide range of movies that play throughout the year. Sometimes it's classics and sometimes it's the new hits or just obscure movies you can find anywhere else. Just...More

We stopped in to watch Magic Mike over the 4th of July weekend. DON'T go see the movie....it was awful. However, the theatre was great. It was old style that had a balcony where alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased. We sat in a...More
