If you come to the York/ Ogunquit area, no visit is complete without a walk along the Marginal Way. A paved walkway along the coast, it has some steep parts and can be challenging for those with physical disabilities. We pushed my mom in her...More

Arrived late yesterday and have already walked this path 3 times. Great view, lots of benches to sit and relax. Stairs down to rocky beach area. Love this walkway.

No visit to Ogunquit is complete without a stroll along Marginal Way. It's the best way to get to Pelican Cove.

This is a beautiful, relaxing walk that snakes along the ocean cliffs...listen to the waves crash on the rocks while breathing that fresh sea air is the best!

You have to experience this walkway simply to make more room in your belly for more lobster. Seriously the view is breathtaking and a must see!!!

Marginal Way is a very nice walk along the coast line. It has benches to sit on along the way. It goes into Perkins Cove. Nice way to go to lunch or dinner and gives you exercise as well.

We were looking forward to this walk on our first visit to Ogunquit. The experience was simply awesome! The weather was marginal...cool & drizzly, but the ocean views were sublime. This walk is the paradigm for "the rock bound coast of Maine". We can't wait...More

Dogs on a leash are allowed from October 1st through March 30th. Although right on the ocean after Novermber can be cold as a well diggers foot. Not permitted from April 1 through September 30.

Agree with rockyisle. The marginal way is narrow. The streets around it are very busy with both pedestrians and cars.

I've not seen any during my many walks along this fabulous walkway. It's only wide enough for 2 1/2 people on much of the path. So I wouldn't think so.
