Great little spot out in Grafton Notch .. be mindful in the winter .. little slippery and in deep snow it is hard to see where the edges and crevasses are. Snow shoes or at least micro spikes will help tremendously. There is a railing along some of the edges for viewing. Keep the kiddos away from the edge.

My son and I were on a camping/fishing vacation in Maine this summer and found this beautiful little gem by accident. It's literally right next to the road but you cant see it while driving by. We were looking for a bathroom and pulled in the parking lot. There are smaller falls up by the parking lot and you have... More

This is a very easy stop off when driving through Grafton Notch. It is a very short, and easy, walk to the falls viewing area from the parking lot and the falls are beautiful. There are numerous places to get some great pictures of various sections of the stream and falls and it is definitely worth a stop. Highly recommended!

Screw Auger Falls and Step Falls are amazing. Just 10 miles from Bethel. Both have parking. Don't miss.

These falls are right next to the road. Not much of a trail or walk in, as you get to the falls quickly. Impressive auger-like falls which drop steeply and deep into the gorge. Great spot for elderly or those who cannot walk a great distance.

My cousin, my best friend, and I stopped in before going to step falls. We utilized the picnic area for lunch and enjoyed the sights. It's definitely a beautiful trail and breathtaking sights looking into the gorge.

Beautiful does not describe this place! In the summer you can cool down and enjoy a summer splash. There are easy hiking trails that can be enjoyed by all (my 84 year old grandmother was able to easily navigate the trails and when our kids were young we had no problems with strollers). In the winter (before the parking lot... More

Great place to take entire family both young and old. The path is short to see the falls close up. Keep an eye on your kids though (both young and older) as it's tempting for them to climb on rocks.

Wanted to explore some Maine beauty. Easily located with GPS and very little effort. Easy access to see the falls - even in the pouring rain. It was a HOT summer day, so no big deal! So much beauty in this state I love!

Stopped to take pictures of the falls which were beautiful. River was not high despite recent rains so we were able to walk across the rocks to get some nice pictures. Small pools of water had tadpoles in various stages of development into frogs. Paths were well-kept and we noticed that areas were accessible by wheelchair too. Informational plaques about... More
