I have had a season pass and sometimes just attended a couple plays for the season. The Public Theater offers a variety of plays, but usually features a play with a good laugh and a message. The productions have polished acting and sets. IT is an enjoyable night out.

Always a good time. This little theater really puts on quality plays. The most recent "Wrong for each other" was impressive as it was composed of only 2 actors who killed it!! Its a small theater so the sound is great and every seat is good. They work hard at putting on entertaining and quality shows. Cudos!!

The Public Theatre offers a variety of plays throughout its season. All productions are well done and enjoyable. The theatre is small enough that all seats are good. Plan to check out The Public Theatre soon. You will not be disappointed.

We have been to several productions at the Public Theater with very good local talent. We have enjoyed the productions we have been to.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. Just to clarify, being a professional theatre means that we are required to hire professional union actors. As there are only a limited number of union (Equity) actors in Maine, we hire most of our actors from New York City and bring them to Maine to rehearse and perform. More

The Lewiston-Auburn area is lucky to have this hard-working regional theater company in their community.

My wife surprised me with tickets for a play at The Public Theater recently and what a delight! The seating was very comfortable and I can't imagine there is a "bad" seat in the house. The attractive lobby sold light snacks and we happened to be there on a night when their first rate auction was underway. The actual play... More

If you live anywhere near Lewiston, a season subscription is a true deal to see fine theatre with equity actors at an incredibly reasonable price. The subscription comes with one complimentary ticket so that you can bring a friend.

We came for the first time to see "Wait Until Dark." What a sweet little theater! We had comfortable, cushy seats and good visibility to the stage. There is a lobby area where you can purchase snacks at intermission. The stage set was spot on! The production was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We bought a subscription, so luckily...
