We had stopped in Bath, Maine tourist information office. the lady there told us about Reid state Park which was only a short drive away. It was off season so it was really quite quiet with few visitors. The beach rocks and driftwood are quite spectacular with waves crashing on the shore. definitely worth a visit.

We've been to Maine dozens of times and never knew about this fantastic place until today! The giant waves crashed on the spotless beach and, on the other side, pounded the quintessentially-Maine rocky, tree-lined coastline. We highly recommend this special place.

Reid State Park is a good place to lay out in the sun, take photographs, picnic. climb on the rocks and enjoy nature at its finest.

This is a lovely state park in Maine on Georgetown Island. There is a very large sandy beach (where many in Maine are rocky). There is a changing house and outside there are outside showers to wash off the salt after you swim. The charge for non-resident seniors is $2 per day per person (not per vehicle). There is quite... Hiked during our trip to Grey Havens Inn- great hiking trails! This park is right down the road from the Inn. Great way to spend a day!

Reid State Park is a lovely spot, lots of rocks and pools plus a large sandy beach. We really enjoyed our time there but beware of biting insects including mosquitos. Maybe it was just the conditions while we were there but we both received multiple bites. Don't let this put you off, just take precautions particularly if you react badly... More

Crashing surf at the rocks on the point in spectacular climax on the right day. Best to see when there is a beach warning. Looks to be an excellent beach as well.

Great beach walking opportunities along with several hiking trails. Sandy ocean beaches along with quieter inland beach for calmer waters for children. Good views available of nearby coastline and offshore islands. Highly recommended for "getting away from it all", at least in the Fall.

While vacationing in the area for a week, we visited this park twice and loved it. The beaches were sandy with plenty of space to spend the day without being crowded next to another party. We brought a picnic lunch, walked the beaches and enjoyed a beautiful day!
