This state park is under-rated and a hidden gem for you. Even in the winter, the walking paths and views of Casco Bay and Harraseeket Bay are exceptional. Nice easy terrain, and short distances. Take an hour, or three hours and take it all in.

Whenever I'm in Freeport on a nice day with a little extra time, I always make the short drive (10-15mins from downtown) out to this park. It's just a lovely way to get a taste of Maine coast and forest, not to mention a little...More

Was in area & looking for a nice easy walk to see some local colors. Park was nicely balanced with flat terrain & parts that were a bit up & down through the woods to the coast.

We visited on a cool, sunny fall day when conditions were perfect for walking and enjoying the water views. It was too late in the season to see any ospreys, but the island nesting site was visible from the shore. We encountered a number of...More

We visited yesterday with our dog and two small children. It's so beautiful there, and there are trails for all abilities, and bathrooms for the little ones. We stayed in the woods this time, but you can access the ocean no problem, and one trail...More

This relatively small state park is delightful. There are a number of walking trails, most along the Casco Bay. There are overlooks and steps down to the rocks in a number of areas. There are also trails through the woods. It is a wonderful spot.
