You will be amazed at the beauty of God's country on your drive through Freeport and other coastal cities along Coastal Highway U. S. 1. The atmosphere is quiet and laid back; very relaxing drive with many places to turn off and snap a photo!

Freeport is a beautiful gem of a place. So busy with the outlets but still that small town appeal. LL Bean is one of the main attractions and you will not be disappointed. You can spend hours in just one of the LL Bean stores.

If you like LL Bean stuff, this stop is for you, other than that there are limited store options to explore

This is one of my wife's favorite drives. We took the drive a number of years ago and had a great time. In summer it can be somewhat busy, but the traffic was not as bad as I expected. Really a beautiful drive.

It was so much fun to shop in the LL Bean stores. There were so many things available that are not in the catalogs. It was also nice to actually touch the fabrics and see the quality of the items.

Freeport has a real nice downtown with shopping, restaurants, and of coarse LL Bean. Good walking downtown with plenty of free parking that is difficult to find these days. We really enjoyed our short stay there, wished we had more time to spend.
