Nice information. Sweet area for a quick break and a short stretch of the legs. Be sure to climb the stairs behind. Canada is just feet away across the St. John River and the U. S. Border is literally right there.

I'd only heard of Mile 0 in the Keys. This was my first time in Fort Kent and it was very cool to be at the other end of Route 1 in my own state.

If you're in Fort Kent it's a quick visit to this sight. You get a nice view of the St. John River and the boarder crossing. Yet I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

The Monument would be but the steps to the berm might not be cleared of snow (if there is any!). It's easy access from the road!
