We were here in the off-season, so could not tour the fort. But just the walk around the grounds rendered marvelous views. Cameras and binoculars a must!

Uniquely styled fort. Parking lot nearby. History of the place on boards outside. Be sure to go into the fort & climb to the second level.

We came here on Fathers Day, It was also Maine Day and admission was free. Reading and exploring this small site doesn't take much time but the history is interesting and worthwhile. Is Check it out.

The fort sits atop a hill that overlooks the Sheepscot River, so it has amazing views. It's a pretty nice place to picnic or watch the sunset.

If you like History this is another place to go.At least I didn't have to pay to get in. If you want to spend the day there you can bring lunch with you there tables to sit at you can enjoy the sea.
