I was pretty disappointed with this night time kayak experience. We met at 6, but did not even get in the water till around 7:30, once we were in the water it was very slow going because the guide, Karen, was constantly correcting everyone's form.That...More

My wife and I purchased sea kayaks when I retired. Although we have been active sailors, swimmers and canoeist for, decades we wanted to heve some expert instruction before we took our kayaks far from shore. We hired Karen to give us instruction on kayak techniques...More

We chose the luminescent night time kayak adventure because of the bioluminescence. We got way more than that. We saw the northern lights, wonderful constellations, beautiful moon rise and a herd of cayotes howling. We went to the adventure as rookie kayakers. I was extremely...More

This was such a wonderful experience! Seeing all the bioluminescent organisms was truly magical, like thousands of fireflys in the water. The weather was perfect and no moon so the stars were out in full force. Nature has wowed me again. Don't miss out on...More

My husband took this group kayak trip around Castine in the evening from 8-10. I was unable to go but his report was glowing—great instruction, very safety conscious, and the bioluminescence in the water was incredible. As well as the stargazing. Would highly recommend this...More

Did this tour with my two teenagers and it was great! Everyone enjoyed it! Our guide, James, was fantastic. The only complaint I have is that I booked over the phone and they added the tip without consulting me. I prefer to tip in cash...More

I unfortunately was sick when our bioluminescent kayak tour came up, so my family went without me. When they got back, I asked them to describe the tour. My 12 year old son said it was legendary; my 14 year old daughter said it was...More

The trip was terrific: well-organized with comfortable accomodation, equipment in good order, and best of all, thorough guidance on the water for this first-time all day kayaker. Karen is as vigilant an instructor as she is assessing the waters, all the while spotting wildlife.

We were there with 2 kids 9 and 11. We did tandem, 2 per kayak. Karen is very knowledgeable and the trip was both physical (tough at times for me !) and intellectual. Just enough of each. We spent 3 hours at sea, and that...More

I believe they have tandem kayaks available. Call first! They are also very patient, move at the pace of the slowest paddler, and offer a great 'how to get going' lesson!
