Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Castle is only open certain times of the year so check on the website if it’s open. You must pre book.

Once in the grounds it is just stunning. Only downside I would say nothing to purchase to eat or drink. Great to bring a picnic and enjoy if I had prior information.

You can walk the grounds as you wish and plenty of volunteers to help and support you if needed.

The property is not having open days due to COVID. The owner told me he charges $450 to open the property to visitors whether it's a small group or a large bus group

After a scenic drive through the green countryside and golden canola fields, we spent a wonderful morning exploring the beautiful gardens and buildings at Iandra Castle. Our hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the property and its history. After a terrific tour of the inside of the Castle, we enjoyed a delightful picnic morning tea amongst the rose gardens. Well worth a visit!

What a find and such a lovely art deco property. The grounds are gorgeous and we had a very nice day there. Interior of the property could do with some love and money. A little disappointing that they didnt have card payments, but thats country I guess.

I recently found out that unfortunately Iandra Castle is not dog friendly. They have to remain inside your vehicle in the carpark area and are not allowed to be in the grounds, gardens or inside the castle. Clearly this is not suitable for hotter times of the year so I thought I would let other fellow dog owners know this in advance before they set out to visit and bring their beloved furry family members! Remember Dogs die in hot cars!

Otherwise Iandra Castle is a great place to visit for a serious history hit if you are into that!

We were very fortunate to attend Iandra Castle open day last Sunday. An amazing old homestead. There is even a small family chapel just up the road.
Many people came far more prepared than us. Picnicking in the grounds of this amazing home. You can get a coffee and even a sausage sandwich. But next time we will go prepared.

Historic Australian homestead in rural NSW. This property is only open a few times a year and is constantly being restored. Well worth a visit when it’s open. It can be very busy and there is an entry fee (cash only). Allow a few hours to see all there is

This place is not open often, so if you get the chance go for a drive and have a look around. we enjoyed several hours here and managed to get in early before the majority of people turned up. BBQ lunch, tea and coffee were all on site to be brought if required. well worth the look.

A wonderful experience taking a leisurely stroll around this stately home, together with the adjacent stables and (on our visit anyway) a third-party working exhibition of old steam and petrol driven farm machinery and of the original genset used in past years to power the home and near environs.

Overall a wonderful morning!

This place is lovely, it is definately worth a look if you feel like going for a drive. The garden is lovely, they also had coffee there which was great. The castle is old but nice, we listened to the talk which was good but they really need a paper flyer with information about the rooms. It's a shame they can't do anything to the outside to make it look nice as it looks black and old from the weather.
