My husband and I were exploring Camden on foot when we came across an unusual terraced lawn. Its entrance was flanked with small brick "sentry houses" What could this be? As we walked around we found that the property was attached to the library and there we were informed-The Harbor Park Amphitheater built in the 1930's to host local events.... More

I love walking about this beautifully charming town taking in the sights of the beautiful houses, the autumn colours and the harbor views and sitting outside one of the pubs and having a nice pint of beer.

Sure, it's a bit touristy but it doesn't change the charm of this historic district. The view from here is simply beautiful any time of the year.

Wander the grounds, sit on the wooden benches, look out across the harbor, drink in all the beauty around you.

The homes and churches were amazing. Would love to have a book with pictures and some of the history of each home.

We spent a last minute week-end in Camden. This a very enjoyable little town on the coast with plenty of restaurants and shops as well as Hotels and Inns. We had a great time with good seafood (and other cuisine).

This is a quaint town with picturesque views and shops. The library is worth a stop as is the park. There are plenty of beautiful places to sit for non-shoppers.

So quaint, I love the shops, bookstore, breakfast restaurants, and friendly people that own and operate all the shops here in Camden. It's so fun just to take an afternoon, or early evening and just putter along high street visiting the quaint Maine coastal feel of these lovely shops. From just local paintings and crafts, to just gorgeous decor and... More

Downtown Camden is picture postcard pretty. Nice upscale shops, good restaurants, great coffee at Zoots. The views are amazing!!! This is the location for the classic film Peyton Place.

We stayed in a cottage on Main Street across from the library, my first time in Camden but not my last. The town is beautiful, the stores are fabulous, restaurants are amazing. You don't need a car and can walk everywhere. The harbor views are picture perfect, and kudos to the people of Maine, the most friendly of all the... More
