Hiking mid-week in November will almost always assure a quiet hike! We only saw one other hiker all day! The park entrance ranger was very helpful. Views were spectacular and the hike itself was moderate without too many extreme trail sections to scramble. 6+ miles...More

This is a large state park with a good number of hiking trails, but it's an easy drive up to the parking lot on Mount Battie, where there are great views of Camden Harbor and Penobscot Bay below. Right off the parking lot is a...More

We stopped at Camden Hill State Park to break up the drive, but had an excellent hike. After driving up Mt. Battie and enjoying the view, we walked to the Ocean Lookout and to Adam's Lookout. It's a good trail to an impressive viewpoint.

I love heights, especially when I look back to see where I have been. The view from Mt. Battie in Camden Hills State Park is spectacular. I remember the scene from the movie Peyton Place which was shot from this very spot. We visited in...More

We were fortunate to visit here last week during the peak of Fall coloring. The gorgeous drive up Mount Battie and the 360 degree view from the top will remain one of our greatest memories.

if in Camden and wanting to get away from the ocean (and the lobsters), take a hike in beautiful Camden Hills State Park (don't just drive up to the lookout in your car, but walk or hike one of the many trails)

View to Bar Harbor on a clear day. At least to the peaks and islands of Northern Maine. Spectacular views abound. Great for hiking and walking.

We visited in September and the views so so beautiful. The tower was interesting. Camden is a cute little town. We enjoyed our tour of the Maine coast and would recommend it.

Must do if visiting Camden. If nothing else, you can drive up[ easy drive] to the Mount Battie overlook. Amazing views.[ There is a $6 per person charge]. My wife and I did 2 hiking trails- Megunticook Trail and Bald Rock Trail. Would rate as...More

Hi, It's an easy ride to town - 1.5 miles to the far end of town along Route 1 with fairly wide paved shoulders. A sidewalk is available too, but I believe bicyclists should use the shoulder instead. Another positive, it's... More
