The Opera House is a stunning landmark building that has been preserved and is used for concerts, holiday events and much more. It is pleasant to visit and I have enjoyed many events here. The acoustics are pretty good for an old building making concerts very enjoyable. The open opera house balcony seating has a nostalgic feel to it and... More

This year we went to the festival of trees and the gingerbread House event, Both of these events were simply fabulous. Well presented and well attended. Worth going to. We don't bother with the many other events as the opera house floor is flat and if your not a season ticket holder you end up sitting in the back rows... More

What a fantastic, old-school music hall. Saw a piano concert on a cold, pre-Christmas weekend. Not only was it a nice, friendly venue, but it was also really decked out for the holidays.

Saw a Irish duo, guitar and fiddle, singer, songwriters. Great show. Venue is plain for an opera house but fun. Cash bar available during the show and small tables next to many seats is a nice touch.

We have been to a number of different concerts here and every one of them has been fantastic! Top notch entertainment at a very reasonable price. We love it so much we are planning to become members next year! Highly recommend this venue!

The building is interesting and old. The sound system was very good for an old hall. They serve beer, wine and a range of other beverages. They had other treats for sale also. Only drawbacks were hard seats and only one bathroom on the ground floor; the other bathrooms were two flights up. There were wheelchair patrons present, so access... More

On a recent trip to Maine, I noticed that my itinerary would allow time to attend a John Gorka concert in Boothbay Harbor. I booked a room and bought a ticket online for the show at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor. Having never been to Boothbay Harbor before, I didn't know what to expect. I found that the Opera... We have been to four or five shows here and all but one were top talent. We aren't big fans of blue grass music BUT we saw two different shows that were blue grass and they were amazing!!! the price for tickets is reasonable and it is general admission so first come first served. Worth checking out....Really!

We went there to see Hot Club of Cowtown. Great acoustics and can see really well from anywhere you sit. Only complaint is that it has no air conditioning so if you have a problem with heat be careful on a hot night. It's just folding chairs so a little uncomfortable. But for the price you pay for tickets for... More

On a whim, we purchased tickets for the Allison Brown show. This venue has really good performers, and shows are more than once weekly. Tickets were $30 and worth every cent. If there's a show here while you're visiting, go.
