We visited Cabbage Island for the second time and it was as great as our first visit. The hour trip out was filled with views of the Maine coast and other interesting islands. Upon arriving you are welcomed sincerely by the family and given a choice of picnic tables or eating inside their rustic lodge. The three course meal you... More

This was the highlight of the trip to Maine with three friends for a girls getaway. We found it on TA and knew we wanted to do it. We were not disappointed. We took a leisurely boat ride through the bay (about 45 minutes) while the skipper pointed out historical and noteworthy places and things. (No Dramamine necessary…). At the... More

If you are in the Booth bay area you have to do this. Nice 45 min boat ride out to cabbage island. Once there you are greeted by the family that runs the clam bake. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The island is small and has some nice short walking paths while you are waiting for lunch... More

Family reunion including us going to this clambake. Starts with one hour boat tour before landing at island. We then exited boat to the clambake eating house, where we started the feast with nice fish chowder. Upon completion, we then went to lobster pit where we received our food, and what a feast it was, a pound of steamed clams,... More

Had an amazing day with family & friends! The weather started rainy, but cleared. The staff was outstanding & the food/portions were so abundant! Clearly this family owned operation knows how to make every individual feel special!! Thank you for a truly great day!!!

This was a combination of boat ride, tour of the bay and good dinner. You won't leave this event hungry. Two lobsters, clams, corn on the Cobb, potato and clams. It is fun to go with a group. About 3 hours start to finish. Great nights entertainment and the hosts have it down to an art science.

We had heard about the clambake from our campground owners in Kennebunk, so we signed up and were not disappointed. The ride out to the Island was pleasant with a guided commentary of the area. The staff greeted us with enthusiasm even though it was the end of the season and they had been doing this daily for many months.... More

Great boat ride out. (sunscreen) Awesome arrival to food cooking, and Bennie still greeting everyone at 92 years old. In the gift shop she told us that she was from Texas and much to the dismay of her friends, she married a yankee. But one on the water. Huge platter of food. 2 lobsters, steamers, corn, onion, & potato. Everything... More

You can't get much more "Maine" than the Cabbage Island Clambakes! You travel by boat to an island, you eat a huge amount of seafood on the water, and soak up the sun and sea breeze. It's a rural experience, so don't wear your nice clothes. You can choose between chairs/tables or a picnic table by the water. Dress in... More

This was a great excursion to do in Boothbay! The whole trip took about 4 hours and was lots of fun, yummy food, and informative. Nice boat ride out with a cash bar (reasonable prices!), and the captain was very entertaining. We learned lots of interesting tidbits (maybe 45 minute ride) The family who owns the island is extremely nice... More
