Awarded Yankee Magazine's "Best Island Tour," we are the Bar Harbor area's favorite boat cruise and a family owned business now in our 22nd year. Operating out of Bass Harbor to the islands of Blue Hill Bay, we offer exclusive access to what many consider one of the most beautiful parts of the Maine coast, as well as its prettiest harbor. Being off the beaten path, our formula for success is offering the highest quality experience at some of the lowest rates on Mount Desert Island. Try out our 11:00-2:30 Lunch Cruise to Frenchboro; established in 1820 and one of the last year round island fishing communities in Maine, Frenchboro is a place that many people find hard to believe still exists in our busy, high-tech world. Or, join us for the 3:00-5:00 Nature Cruise, where you'll see seals, bald eagles, and even haul a lobster trap or two. We cherish your business and our many return customers, and you'll find that it shows from start to finish.

This is an excellent cruise out of Bass Harbor. The boat is a perfect size - maybe 25 folks tops. Eli (the captain) is a great narrator, being intimately familiar with the area, the history, and the lobster fishing industry. The boat stops for lunch...More

Everyone who ventured on this unique trip to the Frenchboro Lobster Festival is a trooper and not of the timid type! Boy did it start out soggy, but by the time lunch was over it turned into a proper summer afternoon and we even got...More

A large group of us (22) travelling together booked this cruise in advance. My husband and I had gone a few years ago, and knew that all would enjoy it.

We took the afternoon nature cruise out of Bass Harbor, Maine . As mentioned by just about everyone, Capt. Eli is simply fantastic. Wonderful personality, knowledgeable, and a delight to be around. Even a transmission failure on the boat did not take away from Eli's...More

Thank you so much for your kind, thoughtful review. This was an extremely disappointing mechanical failure, but machines are known to do that from time to time and I'm very pleased you feel like we made the best of it. Of course, for anyone reading,...More

We have taken this cruise at least 5 times and each time it is wonderful. The scenery as the boat weaves in and out of the islands is spectacular. SEals, birds, wildlife spotted on the islands and onshore are ever present. The narration by the...More
