It's gigantic.

It's a big statue of Paul Bunyan. In front of the Cross Insurance Convention Center. Good photo op on a nice day.

Quick two minutes to take a group picture with a BIG statue. Not much to say other than that. If you are by it, go ahead, but don't go out of your way to find it

Park in the lot at the civic center, or walk from the Hollywood Slots Casino. A unique giant of a Man, Paul Bunyan has a history with Bangor - and you can get up close for pictures.

It will take you about a minute to see this statue .It's hard to pose for a photo of it if that's what you're after .Just another quirky Maine attraction!

Great statue, which uses is over 30 feet tall! Retelling tbe legend of Paul Bunyan. Site is great for pictures. Fronting the Cross Center and just down the street from the famous Waterfront Concerts venue. Many family parks nearby as is the beautiful waterfront on the Penobscot river. Good family spot.

Paul Bunyan looks bright and fresh. This is a good sized statue in front of the arena and across from the casino. Once you get up close to the statue though, there is no plaque and no info. Why is there a style of Paul Bunyan in Bangor??? You have to google it because the statue tells you nothing.

Ok, so I saw a big old statue of Paul Bunyan. Whoopie. That and a buck and a half will get you a cup of coffee. Seriously, I do not see the attraction of seeing this statue. It is not well situated at all, up against an office building, is not unusually large or creative. And not particularly cool. If... More

Interesting statue and easy to get to. 31 foot statue of Paul Bunyon. Easy to believe that Bangor is the home of the logging industry and Mr Paul. Yep...the blue ox is also needed!
