This plantation was beautiful. It is large and the takes a bit to tour the entire thing. I would allow at least 2.5 hours. Of course there is a gift shop so that took a little time to look around. The home is lovely and...More

Overall, a great way to experience a traditional Southern plantation home. The complex is more of a modern hotel/resort (I didn’t realize you can actually sleep in a few of the rooms in the main house itself) and doesn’t have the more historical setting/surroundings as...More

We made reservations in advance for the in person guided tour. Our tour guide was excellent. The property and grounds were breath taking and the gift shop is really neat.

Visited Nottoway Plantation because it is near Baton Rouge and reviews were positive. Very nice leisure walk around property and gardens before an organized, informative tour in beautifully decorative home. Great time for a few hours and learn of its fascinating history!

Our guide was very informative. It was interesting about how long it took to build the home and able to look out over the Mississippi and learn how the flow of the water had changed and took the land away. Also what the lady of...More

I visited Nottoway in Jan '17 for a business meeting. I stayed overnight in the overseers cottage. The room was nice, could use a little patch-up work and updating but it was clean. Bathroom the same. We utilized the conference room for the two day...More

I visited this attraction as part of a day tour from the American Queen. It was the last stop on a seven-day itinerary and was the most disappointing of all the excursions. The main house is far less grand than other Southern LA plantations. Most...More

I'm sorry you felt our house was far less grand than the other plantation homes you had visited on your journey throughout southern Louisiana. Here at Nottoway, we strive to showcase our grandeur, and it is fairly easy to do so since we are the...More

The Nottoway web site appears down. What are the hours of operation and how long does the tour take. I'm trying to plan trips to multiple plantations in a day and trying to coordinate all the driving. For instance you can reserve the tix for Houma's house online.
