Educational historical tour of a still active sugar cane plantation. The house was lovely, and interesting. Our tour guide was a decendent of the owners, and very knowledgeable. I will always remember my visit.

True historical tour of the active plantation antebellum estate, conducted by a member of the extended owner family. This is the real deal, without touristic drama queens or soap operatics. I learned a lot and bought a book (Germans of Louisiana) to continue my exploration.

The home is beautiful. I loved the front and back balconies. The antiques inside are a bit eclectic regarding age, but that is due to the plantation being empty at one point. Most of the furniture has been donated. But, don't think that this takes...More

Thank you for your review. I will have to check out the doll's eyes. We have a lady caught in one of our mirrors. One of our guests sent me a picture of it and it looks like a lady all dressed in black. Maureen

Went there on a rainy afternoon and still got red carpet treatment. Lots of good information led by outstanding docent. Answered all questions and was very friendly.

This is another great Plantation tour. It's very informative, the grounds are beautiful and the oak trees are majestic. There was some filming going on at the time of our visit. This Plantation was used in a couple of movies, one of them being Twelve...More

We do include a short film about the sugar cane process. You can also ask the tour guide for more information. We have been planting cane for over 140 years. Maureen
