We stopped in for a walk. Lovely trails. Beautiful views of tree elbows sticking out from the swamp. Saw a beaver and some other wildlife.

Tucked a bit out of the way, we drove 10+ miles to get to a decent sized town for groceries and general errands while out on the road. However, the nicely wooded sites and picnic pads with fire rings, made this RV camp site alright....More

I took my younger son, and we hiked on several of the trails. The trails are more like walking in the woods than hiking. The river trail is flat and easy. The raised walkways are well maintained and provide a great way to observe your...More

Quiet and secluded, nice walking with not much traffic. Dog friendly but must be leashed. Decks in excellent condition. One hour away from home, so we visit a lot.

I love to hike, and I love Louisiana. So I was saddened today to see the terrible condition this state park is in. Heaps of trash are washed up all along the river bank. The camping areas remain closed following the devastating flood in August...More

Tickfaw State Park has fun activities for everyone. Canoes, camping areas for tents, trailers, motor homes and pop up campers. The sites contain all utilities. If you have a large group there are large cabins that are beautiful and self-contained. There is an educational building...More

To simply put, Tickfaw state park is relaxing. I've been on field trips when I was young, camped out in tents solo as an adult, & picnic'd with family here. The staff has always been kind & the bathrooms clean. Overall it's a nice, outdoorsy...More

We had a great time here. The walks were great, the facilities (toilets etc.) in excellent condition and our grandson had a great time playing in the water park - his first experience of one. Well worth a visit.

Yes, on leash or in kneeels, in the camping areas, but NOT in the cabins. We were staying in a cabin & some friends who were camping came by to view our cabin. They had their dog with them and the cleaning lady reminded us... More

I haven't canoed there but I've seen people canoe by the river trail that you walk and the river has a lot of trees in the water in that area.
