FUMC has long anchored the western boundary of downtown with its magnificence. The grounds are expansive and include a smaller chapel, in addition to the church and a community theater.

I can certainly see how Shreveport natives are proud of having this beautiful building in their downtown area. Located at the bottom of Texas St, it really stands out. We did not attend the service.

I'm not really certain how one reviews a church. Dr. Pat Day is an incredible orator. One of my favorite sayings is from him, "You miss 100% of the shots you never take." The church itself is architecturally beautiful. The Sunday morning services are traditional...More
