My brother and sister in law took me to see the really nice bird art exhibit. There was also a special student exhibit. It has a nice gift shop.

This little gem of a museum always has interesting and varied displays. I really appreciate their artist showings. I also enjoy their quaint little gift-shop where I have picked up little gems like a gold, silk scarf at a great price.

The Meadows Museum is tucked into the campus of Centenary College of Louisiana. Though it is small, it is well-curated and seems to have found its niche among larger museums around the south. I visited the Awkward Family Photos exhibit and enjoyed a laugh-out-loud experience!...More

Since returning to Shreveport, I've been amazed at the incredible caliber of exhibits Meadows has been showing. The spice patterns and Awkward Family Photos exhibits were fantastic.

Free admission to three galleries on two floors with a gift shop with local and institutional offerings. The Bauhaus Exhibit in the Fall...More

Meadows has unique and engaging exhibitions. A couple of personal favorites have been the WWII sketches and the awkward family photos. Everyone should go check out what they have going on!

One of my first visits to the Meadows Museum of Art was to see the works of Jean Despujols. I was amazed to see the rare gems that are housed here. Some of the Jean Despujols are scrumptiously daring! (Love!) On subsequent visits, I have...More

While I had a fantastic time looking at the awkard family photos my children did not. The gift shop was really nice and not expensive to get some souvenirs. I will be going back there if I find my way into Shreveport again.

Visited the Meadows Museum in Shreveport, La. today. It was about 4 pm, and almost empty except for really friendly and helpful staff members. We thought it would be a rather quiet viewing compared to our other local visits earlier but it was surprisingly interesting...More
