It's small and easily breezed through but know that it's full of interesting information and displays. And as the really great tour guide who starts you off in the Water Works Museum next door says, the air-conditioned train museum is great for cooling you down...More

Great place. Near the Water Works museum. I have never seen some of this stuff. They had a menu there for the dinner car. Wow if things were that inexpensive now. Got to see.

Small but packed with lots of Shreveport railroad history. True train buffs will appreciate the history in this museum.

We popped in here after visiting the water works museum. It's a small one room museum with a few artifacts and information about the train cars and railroad. The lanterns were my personal favorite. Interesting little place, nice stop.

Stopped here after visiting the Water Works Museum which is on the same property. It takes about 15-30 minutes to see this museum but it is free so worth a stop if your visiting the Water Works Museum.

Next door to the water works museum. A few interesting artifacts. But as it was free, can't complain. I'm not a railroad buff so most of it wasn't my niche.

A small museum on the same grounds as the Shreveport Water Works museum. Focus of course is on Shreveport railroad activity and Texas and Pacific RR. Majority of displays are old schedules, pictures, biographies and small artifacts. Also a small model railroad. No charge but...More

This museum in on grounds of Water Works Museum. While it is informative, it is still a project in early stages. Eventually plans are to have actual locomotives etc.there. Would definatel recommend seeing while on the ground but perhaps not making it a destination point.
