Just got to see the outside of the building. They had closed early for the day, I guess they were not expecting anyone else to show up. It was close to closing time.

This is a very good museum and the volunteers that were there the day we visited made it an excellent one. This wasn't an ordinary volunteer position but a passion. She was able to make the stories alive and memorable.

Very nice large museum highlighting a relatively unknown historical event, the bringing of many orphan children from the New York area to Opelousas area many years ago. Interesting exhibits and well-versed staff.

Unique experience to go back in time to visit a very historic era. Displays were educational and photos were heartwarming. My maternal grandmother rode the Orphan Train.

The fall is a wonderful time to visit Louisiana. We'd love to meet you and hear about your father. The standard ticket price is $5 per person, or $3 for large groups.
