Checking out nearby places to kayak and fish. Nice enough place, we will see if there are any fish! Note - read the signs, follow the rules so the caretaker doesn't have to be the bad guy and remind you!

Mean old lady at office where you pay is anything but friendly. Discovered Water was very low after she informed me is was higher than it been in a while. Logs and branches hidden right under surface of water made it extremely difficult to navigate....More

I recently stopped by to catch the sun setting over the lake and the view was awesome.i remember years ago going duck hunting with a friend. We also fished the lake and caught some nice bass and sac a lait.

Public fishing lake available to anyone that wants to shore or boat fish. Nothing special about the area. No services at all.

Loved the back history about this lake. Breakfast overlooking the lake and remnants of the brick chimney.

Cool breezes from the nearby Gulf Of Mexico make this a nice stop in the springtime. There are lots of local things to do and see in area New Iberia is just 15-20 minutes away.
