We stayed at a bed and breakfast within walking distance of the historic area. Easy to get around. Very well maintained. Enjoyed going into all the different shops. Lots of friendly people.

Natchitoches has a great downtown area with lots of cool shops. Some are more pricey. Some are very reasonable. There are antiques, and then there are brand new things. There are lots of clothing stores and all kinds of cool places to eat. Of course,...More

I was not aware of the Christmas decorations downtown and along the river front. It was a treat and the fireworks show was great. The little shows were a plus just wish more would have been open. Parking was a nightmare. We spent $20 to...More

We love to visit this town. Beautiful shops and friendly people everywhere you go. Shopping is great for gifts and hard to find items. Great variety of items to choose from.

We were there on Christmas Eve. The lights along the river front were beautiful. Of the stores that were still open, the employees were very personable and the prices were quite reasonable for such specialty stores.

we travelled miles to visit to see the lights at Christmas - worth it! Nicely done over the river so great reflections. Lovely little town. Nice people. Nice shops.

Each year when we visit this is the mainstay of the trip. Always take time to visit the shops, best in the cooler months.

Charming front street stops enjoyed the day walking to each. Only wish there were a little more variety among them, as a lot of the shops sold the same things.

Restaurants are open. Such as for brunch. I recommend Mama's. Some of the shops open after lunch time.
