That is about it, not too much to see really. It is awesome if you are a history buff, but is not a huge sight to see, like a military installation or a Fort.

This is just one of MANY historic monuments and graves in a most Wonderful cemetery, Metairie Cemetery. My wifes family is interned in this cemetery, and we explore every time we visit the family crypts. The old section has the most interesting/fascinating sites. It's free...More

Camp Parapet is in a sketchy neighborhood that I would not recommend visiting at night. The Monument isn't much more than a hole in the ground - not much to see really..

It is part of Southern History. It is a drive by attraction. It is not in a good neighborhood. Go during the middle of the day. Take a few pictures. There is nothing but this monument in the area to go see.

First of all it is tough to find. Second it really does not have access or parking. Third, do not go near dark or alone, the residential neighborhood is not as comfortable as some. We live here and have seen the sign for years pointing...More

Honestly there are more interesting places to see than this. There really not much to see. There is a fenced in mound and not a lot else to see.
