I would definitely not recommend driving out of your way to go to this lighthouse. It is quite unremarkable and not in a very pretty setting. Is surrounded by a Shell parking lot and a couple of old barges. Perhaps the lighthouse itself is nice...More

We anchored our boat near this historic lighthouse and watched the sunset over Lake Pontchartrain while enjoying a bottle of wine with cheese & crackers. Beautiful, relaxing and romantic.

If you are photographer visiting Louisiana, this is a great place for you. The quintessential Louisiana lighthouse. Very picturesque especially at sunset.

you can not go in the light house the best way to see the light house is by boat makes excellent sunset pictures you can the light house keepers house at the museum

I love lighthouses and I go out to this area of the lake often and you can see the lighthouse but are unable to access it. The is a museum in town with history but I would love to get a closer look at it...More
