Walked a trail and it was so pretty. We were there on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. Everything was really green.

Visited in the light rain on a weekday. It was so quiet, we could hear the raindrops hitting the pond water. Also nice to hear all of the frogs. On a short hike, we were even able to spot some bullfrogs in the water. Ran...More

We had seen the sign for Sam Houston Jones State Park many times, but never stayed there until this past weekend. We will be back. The trailer sites are not very deep, so there is not a lot or room for vehicle parking. The sites...More

So I decided to check this park out because almost every stare I work in I usually stop and check out their state parks. It had just snowed so I knew I would get some good peaceful scenery. I wasn’t disappointed. There are numerous paths...More

Sam Houston Jones State Park is a great place to spend some time. They have cabins, rv parking and tent spaces. It is a nice quiet area to sit back and enjoy some peaceful time. Nice walkways, fishing, picture taking.

Will always enjoy the wildlife and the river at this park. Miss living close to it these days. Love watching the grandkids play on the playgrounds and enjoy watching the boats going by.

Taking a shower at this Campground was a pain in the elbow (which I used to press the button for water). THE SHOWER WATER RUNS FOR EXACTLY 15 SECONDS. Let me break down that math real quick. I need at least 20 minutes to shower...More

I've visited Sam Houston my entire life. We took field trips during elementary school, my family visited for the day, we frequently launched our boat. I've stayed in the campground and in the cabins. I've spent a lot of time here and I can wholeheartedly...More

Brought our grandkids camping and had my granddaughters birthday party. We had a wonderful time. Park was clean and kids had a ball playing games, taking the nature walks, and playing at the park.
