The night jungle tour was literally out of this world and so much better than we had ever expected it to be- all the guides were so professional and enthusiastic about the wildlife and imparting their knowledge. Such an exciting and memorable experience seeing so many different creatures- can’t recommend booking with eco conservation tours enough! You’ll have so much fun whilst also supporting such a great company :)

Hai was engaging, funny, enthusiastic and explained so much of the history surrounding the national park and the war impact on the surrounding areas. The wildlife rescue centre was having a major impact on conservation in the park and the tour helps to financially support their efforts. The jungle trek is demanding but equally rewarding and gives a completely authentic experience.

Our family was picked up at the hotel without knowing more than that we would hike in the jungle and get to visit the wild life rescue center. However, we were pleasantly surprised that the experience provided so much more in terms of Vietnam's history, its amazing culture and an insight into the fine work being done to save and return wildlife to its natural environment. We chose a private tour and received great service all day. The views were breathtaking and the lunch the chefs prepared in the middle of the jungle was fantastic. The children saw fantastic animals and were deeply impressed that the guides sometimes had to use machetes to cut through the jungle. We warmly recommend this country and this experience to anyone who wants to be part of an adventure that will stay in the mind for a lifetime. Our children, we are from Sweden, thought this was the best trip we have ever done - we will be back!

The Eco tour is a standard day.
I mainly asked for a tour through the remote places and did not need standard things. Anyway: it's not really possible to deviate and they do the same round of the park, botanical garden, waterfall every day. And everyone tells the same story. Take a photo in the same spot. For a reasonably high price too. Had hoped for more adventure and jungle experience. Little (spontaneous) knowledge of the birds/animals that lived there.
A little more about the wildlife rescue center. They also walk through there every day (like a kind of zoo) with groups of tourists. Terrible to see, the monkeys in cages that can never live independently again. Or some of the tigers that lie on 40 m2 of concrete and receive visitors every day. I found it difficult to realize that this is a rescue center. For these animals it is not necessary to see people at all, it gives them extreme stress and is very unnatural. Better tell the tourists (far away from the animals) what the rescue center does, and they will understand that 'seeing' tigers is far from contributing to a stress-free recovery.
Hopefully eco tour will do something with this.

We had a fantastic day! Trang was an amazing guide who gave lots of information about the jungle, the war and the situation of the locals. We learned a lot about the endangered animals. Cob was a really good jungle cook and driver. The tour went great and we had a swim in the waterfall. We went in october so rainy season was predicted but we were really lucky with the weather and had only some short rains. Highly recommended while supporting a great cause!

I had the privilege of experiencing this extraordinary eco tour, exploring the breathtaking Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. Led by knowledgeable guides, the tour provided a unique perspective on this remarkable biodiversity hotspot.
I got picked up from my homestay and hopped on the back of a licensed rider's motorbike, ensuring a safe and comfortable ride to the Botanical Gardens (despite the misleading name, it's not manicured gardens but rather a forest).
Our first stop was the Wildlife Rescue Centre, offering an up-close encounter with the park's diverse residents. From there, we embarked on a trek through the forest—a route you can only do with a guide.
The highlight of the day was a scrumptious barbecue lunch in the forest followed by a refreshing swim in a natural pool.
While the tour provides a fantastic opportunity to witness the park's conservation initiatives, it's important to note that the hike can be steep and slippery. However, despite not being a hiker, I managed just fine.
Ideal for moderately fit individuals seeking an immersive adventure, this eco tour left an indelible mark on me, offering a unique blend of adventure, education, and conservation.
It's a must for nature enthusiasts eager to explore the hidden gems of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park.

A lovely day tour, but one that should not be underestimated. Our guide, who also runs the company, spoke very good English and was very friendly. The mopeds that pick you up at the beginning were a highlight for our three children aged 7, 12 and 14. The animal rescue station afterwards was also very interesting, although it is not that big. All in all, the tour is very nice, and there is a great lunch in the jungle. You are also shown a few interesting places, such as caves from the war. The paths are difficult to walk on, however, and as a tall person you often have to walk bent over. The tour is strenuous and takes a whole day, but you learn a lot about native plants, there is a pleasant atmosphere, and you really experience what it feels like to be somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the jungle. Definitely highly recommended if you have a certain level of fitness and enjoy challenges.

If you want to learn anything about nature and don’t want to visit any (more) caves, then this tour is perfect for you! I am so glad that I did this tour. Hai and his crew are really kind people who love nature and work hard to protect the area. You’ll visit the ‘Wildlife Rescue Centre’ and they tell you how they help the animal. What I really like is that 25% of the price of the tour is going to the rescue centre. In that way you also make a meaningful contribution to the centre.
The BBQ in the middle of the jungle is just so much fun en tasty! Nice to eat with the whole crew.
You will go off the normal tracks and really deep into the jungle. Very different then a lot of other ‘jungletracks’. I highly recommend this tour!

Great experience, especially with the easy riders 😂. We loved the good hiking route, the professional and good informed guide, and the yummy lunch in the jungle. We really enjoyed this wonderful day.
PS.: We loved the plastic free concept

We did this tour with Trang and she did just an amazing job. The tour was wonderful and informative.
We learned a lot about the jungle, the life in vietnam and the vietnam war. We truly recommend this tour!
Before the tour we communicated, that we are vegetarians and we received a fantastic BBQ in the jungle.

I am interested in the two day tour for our family (myself, my husband and our two sons aged 14 & 12) and would like recommendations for the best way of travelling there from Hanoi. Many thanks.

Hi, I’d like to do the one day tour during my three day stay in Phong Na in February and was wondering if you have to book in advance or could I get in if I book the day before? Thanks

What is the price of this tour? I am not able to locate booking information.
Thanks!

Hi!
I am sorry for my Late answer.
The Price is 2.300.000 for 1 day trecking and 1 Night Camping in the Jungle. 1 day trecking is 1.300.000 I think.

I love the sound of the two day one night tour, but need to be absolutely sure it is within my capabilities. I'm mid 50's and only moderately fit. I also am not great walking in slippery conditions as I worry a lot about slipping over. But my biggest concern is the overnight cave stay as I hate big spiders. Are they a problem? Also what about needing to use the toilet during the night?
Reading what I've just read, I guess it may be too much for me :-( Which leaves me with the day tour. But if I did that where is a suitable base to come from? Son Trach village sounds too small, is there another place I could travel from to get here for the day tour?
Sorry about all the questions, I'm just a bit unsure and want to get it right!

Hi, Pink. As you mentioned, I think that you should the 1 Day tour option b'cause it is doable for you but not the 2 days tour. Just just come over to Bamboo Cafe or email me for your reservation then.
