Went on a tour that included visiting Vinata Los Osuna. A small agave distillery that wasn't producing that day.
They give you an informative tour and a tasting afterwards. We sampled blanco, reposado, and 2 flavored agaves, vanilla and cinnamon, there are just ok.
This tour was part of a package deal after zip lining and a snack. The tour was informative, our tour guide Carlos was delightful, the grounds beautiful. BewareOf the resident vendors selling vanilla on their grounds. The purchased product tastes like a very watered down...More
What a very interesting place/experience. So much still done by hand (nearly 150 years.) All outside... just a 30 minute tour and plenty of time to linger and enjoy. Two shot samples for 50 pesos/$3 a person.
100% Blue Agave.
After zip lining we did the Blue Agave tour and sampling. Great setting back in the mountains and gorgeous flowers and trees and outdoor bar to sample their excellent tequila. A fun stop if you are in Mazalan.

Sorry for the late response. There are organized tours at most hotels, however I prefer to go with one of my long time friends who runs one of those red pick-ups in town. It is private and His rates are reasonable. Usually about $50pp for the day and the included a trip to El Quelite for lunch. If you still have time before you go DM me and I can call or email information. It was really worth the time and $.
