This is a great place to take visitors to see a great part of Baton Rouge history. There is free parking on the weekends and admission is free.

Really cool piece of history and architecture that Mark Twain said he hated. Its like a castle that was used during the Spanish occupation of West Florida. The old governors mansion is just down the street.

Very impressive and informative. Spectacular place to see, be sure not to miss it. Allow a little extra time to find a legal parking space. Also, be sure to give yourself lots of time to enjoy it all.

The hours are consistent throughout the year. It's closed on Sundays and Mondays. Open from 10am to 4pm Tuesdays through Fridays and Saturdays hours 9am to 3pm. I believe it is closed on major holidays.
