Walked the 1.27 mile loop. Took the stairs down, walked the trail, up and over the falls, then back to parking lot. Many wild flowers on this trail. The falls only has water in it shortly after rains. Drys up during summer. Restrooms are flushable, not pit. Adequate parking. Nice spot for picnics.

Ironic that the falls get top billing but there is so much more to this place. Extended walk to Yahoo Arch (a natural bridge) has a lightly travelled path with multiple switchbacks and vistas from ridge height and down to stream elevation. The zigzag path back and forth across the stream near the falls is interesting. My April visit coincided... More

My husband were staying at a cabin at Cumberland Falls resort and decided to see Yahoo Falls. It had ample parking and a bath house at the start of the falls trail. The trails are poorly marked, so if you ant to see the falls first then take first trail to the left marked as steps to falls. We took... More

We did this hike with out 3 young kiddos (12, 10, 8) and absolutely loved it. We started at the trailhead rather than the shorter version/parking lot. The hike first brings you to Yahoo Arch (0.8 ish miles in) which is incredible. Our kids loved exploring all around the Arch and trails. And then another 0.8 miles or so you... More

Nice hike. Could use a couple more trail signs, especially up to Yahoo Arch. Not much water over the Falls, so wonder what it is like in dry season. Fairly good trails.

Driving south on US 27 I see a sign for "Yahoo Falls Scenic Area" and have to check it out. I mean Yahoo Falls - is just one of those places calling out to you screaming - "Hey, drive on out here and check it out." or something like that. Heading west on Kentucky 700, about 4-5 miles off the... More

Yahoo falls was absolutely beautiful! While walking down to the falls it felt like we were in a different country or in the Amazon. Breath taking views! You can walk off trail & you find yourself walking thru boulders & caverns. You can walk down to the bottom of the water fall. It was the best experience on our family trip... More

Nature at its best! I've had to go back again. Getting there is a good little hike. Coming back the same way was hard as we were going up hill. The second time I followed the trail to the end. I would do it again!
