Golf course is beautiful; however, the sand pits are hard as rocks with hardly any sand in them. The fairways don't have a good stand of grass.

Nice little public course. A bit shaggy on the tee boxes. Slow greens and short. Plenty of room to miss the ball. I would play again , but I wouldn't go out of my way to play it. Nice staff! Limited pro shop and snack...More

There is a replica of Thomas Lincoln's boyhood cabin built on the original site with some furniture he actually made. Also the original cabin Nancy Hanks lived in is there also although it has been moved a mile from its actual site. Add a memorial...More

There is a small fee to look at the houses. They are well preserved and interesting. The Park attendant gives you a little history lesson before you walk through the grounds. He let us know who built what furniture, etc. There is a summary sheet...More

This is pretty interesting if you are a history fan of Lincoln. This deals with Abe's parents. Well kept grounds and restrooms. Was supposed to pay a small fee but no one was around and no envelope to place fee in. Great little stop though....More

This is the place to start your Lincoln trail. The marriage certificate of Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks is filed in the Washington County Court House in Springfield. Many people feel that Abraham Lincoln was actually born in Washington County. This is where it started!
