- ctkacz67Loveland, Ohio194 contributionsHere for cocktails! On this particular trip to the trail, we were bouncing around sampling cocktails and browsing gift shops. No tours or tastings. We did enjoy our time here. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails…especially the toasted marshmallow old fashioned. The large on tap cocktails in take home cups were good too! Fun bartenders, beautiful bar area both inside and outside. We had a great time!Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 29 October 2023
- FresnoTravelersFresno, California596 contributionsBulleit Distillery tour is an excellent introduction to Bourbon distillingBulleit distillery was the last of our 6 distillery tours! Each was unique in their distillery and history. But each talked about their distilling process. Jeremy, our guide, was excellent at explaining Bulleit's commitment to the environment. He was excellent at showing the extensive technology used at Bullet. And his explanation/discussion during the tasting really enhanced that experience. We loved the Bulleit tour!Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 November 2023
- ztd1989Kenova, West Virginia693 contributionsAnother Stamp on the Passport!Another wonderful stop on the OG Bourbon Trail. I have had the pleasure of visiting a few distilleries now along the Bourbon Trail and this one is quite enjoyable as well. This tour as do they all ah e a few similar elements but this one for sure stands out in a few ways. The Price for the tour is in the lower end which is nice, but that doesn’t mean less of an experience. I enjoyed taking a bus to the main grounds for the tour. The experience is a more modern take on bourbon which I don’t. Mind at all. The facility is clean and our guide was good and knowledgeable. The tasting portion was unique as well. They use lighting, sounds, and smells to enhance the senses. I am glad I visited. I think the most interesting thing I learned was how they store their barrels on pallets upright . So check them out and warn another stamp! Worth it!Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 January 2024
- DaltonMiddletown, Ohio25 contributionsSmoked Old Fashioned Class and Custom Label…Decided against a tour and would try out a different type of experience. Smoked Old Fashioned Class was perfect for my wife and I. The woman leading the class was awesome and a good time. Kept everyone engaged and we made some really good, strong drinks. PS…get the bottle with your customized label, well worth it!Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 January 2024
- Travel 4 Fun9 contributionsHigh Tech Distillery with Green InitiativesThe visitors center and distillery are beautiful, clean, and very green and sustainable. The technology is amazing to learn about, and the staff is so very personable and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails, distillery tour, and tasting event. It was neat to taste the lineup including a new single malt they have created. Beautiful views, quaint area, and awesome story. Highly recommended!Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 12 March 2024
- shelpow62Annapolis, Maryland21 contributionsFinally bit the Bulleitt! This was our 4th stop on the Bourbon Trail, and it was the best so far. We took a tour with Jeremy, and he was awesome. He was engaging and very knowledgeable. The entire facility is immaculate and we learned a lot about the history and the art of distilling. There is a nice gift shop and an even better bar and 2 great lounging areas with a fireplace that we cozied up to with a nice Bulleitt cocktail. We highly recommend this place.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 March 2024
- Ellen BHortonville, Wisconsin1,322 contributionsExcellent Distillery TourWe really enjoyed our distillery tour. This is such a beautiful setting! It was interesting learning about the different yeast cultures and how they affect the distillate of the bourbon. The bourbon tasting was also informative. We tasted each bourbon, shook a little sent cask, smelled it and re-tasted the bourbon. It was fascinating the different flavors we picked up on after smelling the different scents. We definitely recommend this tour.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 8 April 2024

That said, it's still worth taking the tour. The bourbon tasting was unique and was the highlight of the tour in my opinion.Visited May 2024Travelled soloWritten 13 May 2024

Our visit was just before the Kentucky Derby so tours of the distillery were sold out. We enjoyed our packed lunch on their patio.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 May 2024
- JB1987Columbus, Ohio38 contributionsBulleit BourbonThis is ultramodern bourbon distillery. The tour is well worth the time. You get a hands-on experience with the grains and an Indepth explanation of the mash bill. Definitely make reservations and arrive about 15 minutes early. This is worth a visit.Visited August 2024Travelled soloWritten 7 August 2024

This was the second of our whiskey tasting experience - this was a much more modern location, and it came through with the experience. They went through the effort to make it a full sensory experience through the use of lighting and sound. They take a more much revolutionary approach to whiskey tasting. The location itself is more 21st century and they take a more modern approach to producing their libations.

This was the last tour we had booked and it was our favorite one we did.
They have a great gift shop, and you can purchase special cocktails also.
Before the tasting they load you on a bus, you do have to wear a mask they will provide you with one to tour the distillery.
Everyone was very friendly and informative.
Had a blast

We've been on many bourbon trail tours and this one was probably one of the least informative, but the tasting at the end was the most unique and fun one we've done! The tour starts out by bussing you from the visitor center to their distilling facilities. The coolest part of the tour was hearing about some of the things that Bulleit does differently since they are new, modern, and dedicated to being more eco-friendly. However you don't get to see as much of the process as you might on other tours. They did have some neat displays about the yeast strains and column distilling that I had not seen before. Our tour guide was engaging and did a great job, I just think the nature of Bulleit's facilities make it a less informative experience than a lot of other distilleries. You do not get to see as much.
The tour is not super long, and afterwards we headed to the tasting room for a really fun experience. We tasted four of their products with mood lighting and ambient sound to accompany each one, plus 'scent orbs' that we could smell to enhance the flavors of each! We hadn't done a tasting like this before and I thought it was cool! We are also big fans of their products, the rye is my favorite affordable rye out there!

With its modern production facility, you won’t see the mash (its covered), distillation, or bottling (done elsewhere). Plus, you won’t see the warehouses (not rick houses) as it’s too high-tech/dangerous or visit with tasters as they are in another building. So lots of talking which is all the basics you hear on any tour. And lots of love for the brand and it’s culture. Shelby was pretty theatrical, but I guess that kept it interesting. I could skip the mood lighting/ambience at the tasting. All in all, nothing special.

This was our fourth distillery tour. This distillery is very new and very modern. Unlike other tours you don't walk next to the open vats, no bottling line, no picturesque stream. Latest in technology, and part of a very large corporation.
Was interesting to see the differences, though I am more old fashioned and prefer Makers Mark both for the tour and the bourbon. Our guide was great and funny, and the tasting experience complete with mood lights and music was very original and probably the best we have seen. Definitely worst the trip!

Enjoyed the tasting but the tour had too many people. We couldn't hear and see all of the information our tour guide gave because we had 20 people in our group. The tour is also very modern when compared to a more traditional distillery like BuffaloTrace. There was a fee for this tour and tasting.

Our large group are big fans of Bulleit and it’s been their go to bourbon for years. Everyone was very excited to visit and it did not disappoint. The bourbon was fantastic, no surprise there, but the grounds and decor had a hip, young vibe to it. Many commented that it was a great scene and you could spend hours there eating at the food truck, listening to the live music and drinking at the bar. The design and decor was warm and rich with a modern feel, one of the best decorated distilleries we visited out of 10 on the trip.

Our family (all adults) stopped at the Bulleit distillery as part of a long weekend in Kentucky. Our experience at Bulleit was great, with a knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. The facility is new, and it was very cool to hear about their efforts to minimize their environmental impact. It was also very interesting to see the technology used at this facility compared to some of the more traditional but “low tech” distilleries on the bourbon trail. A highlight is definitely the tasting at the end which incorporates all your senses. Even the members of our group that don’t always love bourbon found it to be a great way to try the Bulleit products. Would definitely recommend!
