This sight has a good number of Civil War memorabilia displayed. There are several uniform replicas on display as well as a number of photos and written mementos from the war. There was also a short video presentation in at least 3 room. As civil war presentation go this one is a good one.

A nicely appointed historical house with a museum is worth the trip inside. Learn about the battle of Richmond while you tour the facility.

Definitely worth the time. Great collection of historical artifacts and a guide who gave us lots of interesting information on the battle and the civil war. It was also sobering to get a glimpse of the magnitude of the civil war. We highly recommend this to visitors of Richmond.

If you are interested in the Civil War, or in learning a little about the history of our country, this is an interesting exhibit. The visitor's center is loaded with information about the Battle of Richmond including small brochures on many of the individuals who fought or were involved in some way. There are also some multimedia exhibits that are... More

This is a smaller museum but very informative and full of Civil War period artifacts and military regalia, plus several multimedia presentations. An hour well spent while visiting gthe grandkids.

I have to say that from the moment I stepped onto the porch, I was welcomed with a warm hand shake and smile. The way each room is laid out and how they provided the information was perfect. Not to much or little. Right amount. It did not bore me, kept my attention. I learned a lot from this tour.... More

The structure and grounds are on the land that was the site of the Battle of Richmond. The Center recently added an outdoor Parrott rifle. There are plans to add a limber and caisson to the collection.

I have passed this place countless times on the way to work, shopping, etc. Having recently enjoyed nearby Battlefield Park, today's was a spur-of-the-moment visit. I learned so much from the exhibits here than I previously knew (about the local conflict) and was so glad I came. Great artifacts among the displays which were very well done. The Visitors Center... It was not as big as i thought it would be but it was well done. The greater was very friendly and made jokes about our Tennessee attar. There was a moving battle board that explained the battle it rely was good. The boards outside had a lot of information on what went on.

The gentleman at the visitors center was very knowledgeable about the site and about the Civil War in general. He was very friendly and allowed my small dog to come inside as well as the pet parrot that was traveling with a couple who were there at the same time. He also provided tips on sights to see in Richmond... More
