You will not be disappointed visiting the downtown arts distric. Should be able to address your individual interests and needs. If nothing else just go into all the shops.

I've lived in Kentucky for more than six decades, but I'd never been to Paducah. Finally, after hearing about its vibrant arts and historic district my wife and I decided to give it a try, and we booked a room at the 1857 Hotel right in the middle of this city's genuine gem of a historic district. TripAdvisor really should... More

Paducah has been working hard to brand itself as an arts center, and it is paying off. The LowerTown district has become a mecca of sorts for artists and art lovers. Best to see it during the Arts Festival, but it's always a good area for a walk as well.

We drove the streets, the information center was closed so we took a picture of the features posted on the building. We tried to go to the ones open but the whole area seems ragged and no one open. We visited the two galleries/shops we found open and there was some wonderful artwork and pottery. But it seemed deserted with... More

The LowerTown Arts District can be exciting or it can be slow and not so much. What makes a difference is whether or not you are there during one of the many local events. Try coming during the Arts Festival or BBQ on the River or October Fest. These are the times when the artists make a greater effort to... More

This area is just fun to drive around and view the houses but also an area to track down art and other works of crafts. Take the time to ride and walk if you can

I first came here about 10 years ago and it was a thriving community. Today, not so much. Some of the art galleries were not open per their posted hours so it is hit and miss. There are some talented artists in the area as well as some great older homes and their requisite architecture thereof. Worth driving around if... More

Not much to see here. Not saying the art is not good, but there is almost none left to see or buy, and the artists keep weird hours at their studios (probably have other jobs) and it is difficult to find them open. If you are going to this area, wait for the once-per-year Art Festival and you can see... More

The lower town arts district is really nice- it's honestly the best Paducah has to offer! The rest of Paducah... Don't bother.

I remember this place when I was a child. It was a collection of fine old homes in terrible condition in a not so nice neighborhood. Now the homes are being restored via government grants and a lot of artists have taken over and are using the restored homes to sell their articles works. Be sure and drop by Etcetera... More
