Shortly after moving to Paducah, my wife and I decided to check this place out as we'd heard it had some interesting history. We received a short tour from one of the employees who was very knowledgable and friendly. It is an amazing structure with lots of neat artifacts inside. Definitely worth your time.

Not often you find your rest stop/welcome center in an historic home. Guided tour took just a few minutes, but well worth the time. Glad state of Kentucky decided to save the house.

The welcome center is beautiful. I suggest you stop by at Christmas time when there is no need for scheduled tours to enjoy the orchestra and even a Santa foe the kids. The facilities are well kept with 24 hour maintenance. At night there are workers in a small office in the back building who walks the grounds not only... More

One of the best rest stops I've been to... Clean bathrooms with fresh flowers (seen multiple times) Nice size tourism info center A little tricky to get to depending what direction you're traveling but worth the rest. Nicely manicured lawn for a short walk

They do it up right in Kentucky. No regular rest stop here! It is an old mansion converted to a rest stop/welcome center. Most beautiful one I've ever been to. Nice clean rest rooms. Beautiful maintained grounds with flowers. Relaxing place to stretch your legs and walk your dog.

Nice to have a clean restroom when you need it. It would be better if there was some sort of gift/souvenir shop on site, but there is none.

Not a road sign with picnic tables and portable toilets, but a genuine, majestic home welcomes you here. Beautiful building and pleasant, expansive grounds to roam with lots of history and extensive parking bid you "Welcome to KY". Access is more complicated than just an off ramp; but well worth the extra turns and one can easily re-enter I-24 after... More
