There is not that much to see. It is more of a quick stop when coming or going elsewhere. The bell tower is modern, but the low hanging power lines diminish the look. That is a city issue for Newport.

A giant bell with a small 9/11 rememberance memorial next to it. The bell is amazingly large and it’s across from a picturesque courthouse. Short walk from the Newport tourist trap. Check out the steps to Bart’s Bar too.

This monument is very nice to see and should be appreciated at least once. Convenient location, however it lacks in presentation. Whether it was funding or just a political decision, the home for this World Peace Bell should reflect the meaning behind it. This is...More

Happened to run across this unique exhibit while driving to our hotel. Stopped to look and spent about 35 -45 minutes reading and looking at the displays. Had to touch a piece of the twin towers from 9/11 and pay respects to the fallen first...More

What can you say about a bell? Good to see that it is dedicated to peace but so far it hasn't worked given all the ongoing conflicts in the world today. Let's keep hoping though!

Very special tribute to fireman and 911 victims. The bell is beautiful and makes a lovely sound when it rings. There is also a sculpture of a fireman and two children which has scripture and quotes from famous leaders around the bottom.

Just the size of this bell is noteworthy. If you're anywhere nearby, make sure that you stop by and visit the site.
