I live in Old Louisville, on one block from Central Park. The park has wonderful events--Shakespeare Festival, and music concerts throughout the summer. It isn't a very large park, but it is nice to have a bit of green space so close to my house.

Well designed city park with Louisville Metro Police Department substation on the grounds, so very safe place. Good for dog walking, small family gatherings.

Must see stop. We walk dogs there frequently. It's location is very handy and it has nice scheduled events. I see people playing tennis there a lot. Nice and shady with a fountain. So great for summer.

Louisville's Central Park is easy to get to, south of the downtown area along South Fourth Street. It's a good place for a relaxing stroll in the middle of a busy city. The south edge of the park leads into St. James Court which has...More

It's one of the smaller Olmsted designed Louisville parks but is much better when Shakespeare in the Park is going on in the summer. It's also nice during the Saint James Art Show in October or when there are a few jazz shows in September....More

If you're in the Old Louisville part of town, stop here. Park is beautiful and was designed by the same person who designed Central Park in NYC. Inside the park you will also find the information booth for Old Louisville, a stage for Shakespeare performances,...More
