A classic, old theater with great acoustics and comfortable seats. Ample parking in front, in lot behind the theater, and in nearby garage. Very convenient to downtown restaurants (Portofino's across the street) . Enjoyed the ability to have a cocktail while watching the movie.

Great place to see a movie. Get there early to check out the old theater. Great atmosphere, nice people, reasonably priced.

My son wanted to see the Master Rogers'biopic and the only place it was playing was at the Kentucky Theater. Not only is there no parking there so you have to pay to park. But when they did their big renovation a few years ago,...More

My family and I frequently visit this theater. It is always clean and efficient and the kids absolutely love it. Workers are quite friendly. Concession food is quite pricey, although always very tasty.

We enjoyed our visit to the Kentucky Theater. We chose it specifically for its historical significance. The lobby is beautiful and the concessions area reminded me of the movie “The Magestic.” The man who prepared our popcorn was a pro - he put popcorn in...More

I'm told this historic theatre was recently renovated. It's beautiful! Intricate, artistic woodwork on the walls & ceiling (& stained glass). Cushy, comfortable, wide base & back chairs. Make this a stop on your trip to Lexington!

Yes. Debit and Credit. They have a nice choice of alcohol and wine with the movies. Enjoy.
