This Aviation Museum was not big, but it was packed with exhibits, especially real planes and helicopters. My fly-girl sister enjoyed it and I was never bored. They even preserved some old military aviation instructional films. A good, non- horsey, non-Bourbon attraction.

We took our two grandsons to the museum. They definitely loved looking at the airplanes and being close to the airport. The museum needs more interactive exhibits to thoroughly engage children under the age of 12/

If you enjoy aviation then this is definitely worth a visit when in Lexington. Very friendly docents and great selection of aircraft and equipment. Two rooms of history, videos and simulators. A good variety too, not just military (although that is the main theme). A...More

This isn't necessarily a stand out, you can't miss it, kind of place but it's got some neat info & is definitely worth stopping by, just don't drive right past it. Not the best for super hot days as the hangers don't have air.

We visited with our 7 and 9 year old. It took us about 45 minutes and paid $22 (family price for 4 or more). The kids enjoyed it and liked being able to sit in some of the aircraft. There were knowledge volunteers who enjoyed...More

We visited the Aviation Museum in July mainly to see Fi Fi the WWII B-29 Bomber. That alone was worth the trip but the actual museum was great. It has something for all ages with volunteers ready to answer questions and provide additional information about...More

My family and I attended the museum as a quick rest stop on our way from Nashville to Charleston, WV. We were not disappointed. Even though we were there on a Saturday afternoon and were told there were no tours, one of the docents (Steve)...More

My nephew is a serious history buff, primarily WWII. We went here with him and he enjoyed it. I get bored in museums so being smaller was a positive in my opinion. I learned quite a bit and decided I need a small amphibious plane...More
