Dream Beach

We spend a week in Cape May and spend some time twice on this beach, best beach in Cape May. The stones to collect are fantastic.

I visited this beach in July 2016 and we came here one night for the sunset. The place was packed with other people who came out to watch the sunset as well. There was plenty of space though, so it wasn't to crowded. The sunset was absolutely beautiful and totally worth coming here for. However, I don't know if this... More

I visited Sunset Beach on each of the 4 nights that I was in Cape May at the suggestion of a "local". Each night found the sunset getting progressively better. People were very respectful of each other and of the natural beauty around us. Highly recommend taking the time to visit at sunset.

a beautiful beach, but more for sight seeing than sun tanning, although the fishing is good. this is the very tip of new jersey, hence why it's the only place to see a sunset in the west. they are always beautiful and they play "god bless america" just before and have volunteers to lower and fold the flag. look for cape... Very small curving strip of beach at the southern end of Cape May. Also known for the sunset beach diamonds ( quart pieces) which was ashore in the tide. Also wonderful small tumbled pebbles! Take a bag or bucket!

Sunset Beach is just amazing. The sun sets into the water and the beautiful rocks and Cape May Diamonds glisten in the surf. People roam around and come from all over to see this amazing sight. I love to pick up the beautiful rocks that turn up there. It is truly a spiritual sanctuary for me. I am so grateful... More

Nothing compares to Sunset's, or Sunrise's, finding the nature, the natural in the world, and this is one. Sunset Beach is an Amazing place to find solitude, yourself, or just to take it all in. Quite an evening, clouds and fog rolling in North of the beach, looked more like smoke, managed to get a few pictures in before it... More

We returned to Sunset Beach for another visit this year. I wondered aloud to my husband if they had spectacular sunsets every night ... well, this time (our third in three years), they had another one! I don't know what causes these terrific sunsets at this location, but you'd need to look far and wide to find any better ones!... More

Very nice place to watch the sunset. I'd imagine parking is a problem in summer. Great place for pictures and to people watch.
