1st let's get the location right. It is NOT, I repeat NOT located at 400 E. College St.! This takes you to the University address, not to the garden. So, TripAdvisor, get the address corrected. It is located 7 miles n on US 25, or...More

It doesn't live up to its hype or its tourist pamphlet. The koi(less) pond is dirty and scummy, tho the two curious turtles were fun. The pathways are washed out, some to the point you have to step into the grass. The dry stream beds...More

A very peaceful garden to visit! Beautiful pond with turtles and plantings. I was sorry to see the lower pond covered in duckweed. The path were very easy to walk and took one around the entire area. It would be a great place when all...More

We went in September, so it wasn't as beautiful as it would be in spring. The coi pond was full of flowering water lilies. Very calm and peaceful .

The Yuko-En Garden is a beautiful spot to take a walk and picnic. The gardens are lovely and a wonderful celebration of Georgetown's Sister City, Tahara, Japan.

Wonderful six acre Japanese-American friendship garden. The park is maintained by volunteers. There are no employees, so there are a couple things like the koi pond that could use some work. If that bothers you, go volunteer! 😆 We watched some pottery being made by...More

Yuko-En is a beautiful place to take a short stroll around the loop encircling the lake, take some photos, and just enjoy the peaceful Asian-inspired setting. The red, arching bridge is one of my favorite spots to click off a few shots of my kids.

Another hat tip to Tripadvisor! So I woke up in my Georgetown hotel and hit up Tripadvisor for "things to do" in the area and found this place. Although this is a small park it is laid out in Japanese Zen style and it if...More

I honestly do not remember any prohibition on animals. There are no staff there so I would recommend a leash and just clean up after yourself. No admission charge either but there is a donation box!
