Toyota Kentucky, located in Georgetown, is Toyota’s first and largest vehicle manufacturing plant in America. Each day, around 2,000 Toyotas are hand crafted by skilled Kentuckians, including America’s best selling car for 13 years running, the Camry, as well as the Camry Hybrid and Toyota’s flagship vehicle, the Avalon.

Tours run five days a week, last about an hour and require a reservation to guarantee your seat.

I brought some friends from Europe in and they got a dose of the car building process. They could not believe how many cars come off the line. The place is clean and well lit.

A plant tour at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky is a unique experience for the whole family. To start the tour, you first enter the visitor center at the plant. Here you are shown a video about the plant and how the cars are manufactured. The visitor center has several displays including the first Camry built at the plant on down... More

Loved this tour and we don't even own a Toyota! We took a chance on getting in on this amazing tour when we got into Georgetown. Apparently it is advised to book well in advance, but when we called them they told us to come down and put our names on a cancellation list and we were able to get... More

I had been on this tour once before, but the assembly line was shut down due to a technical issue so it was just OK. I always wanted to return to see it in action. I am so glad I came back. This tour is well done, very informative, and interesting to see the plant in operation. You are transported... More

So glad my husband & I saw this FREE tour on the Things to Do List. All the Toyota staff was so friendly. They do a superb tour that lasts about an hour. It starts with a very short video and then you spend most of the time on the very neat & informative tram ride around the plant. Our... More

My husband and I recently took this tour. We had no idea what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised how interesting the tour was. The plant corridors are extremely busy with much traffic The only negative...was the earphones, used in order to hear the tour guide, were somewhat uncomfortable to wear.

Very interesting tour of a manufacturing plant. Tour is a tram ride thru the plant with a guide who gives you a lot of interesting info on the process of making a new car. We had the good fortune to have time to talk to Keith and he gave us some more insight into Toyota and how things are done.... More

School day out and a trip to a car factory! What an amazing educational experience for all ages. Mine are third graders and had so many questions at the end. Tina was wonderful and answered all the questions. Our driver was great too. Such a fascinating place it is like a city of its own. Definitely worth the visit and... More
