Took my daughter . We just walked around outside but it was interesting. I had drove past the building many times and had not paid any attention to what it was.

This building, once home to Ky's governor, then restored and home to our Lt. Governor is now used for events. Next to the Ky History Center, it is appointed with Ky furniture. I'm not sure when it is open, but I do not think it...More

This is a very good place to visit if you are in the Frankfort area. It was home to 33 Kentucky governors from 1798 to 1914. This Landmark Mansion is listed on the National Register for Historic Places and notable for the seven U.S. Presidents...More

Unless somebody told you, it would be difficult to distinguish this large brick two-story building from many of the others in this part of town. There is not much to see and minimal landscaping, unlike the current governor's mansion. Tours inside are by reservation only.

It was really pretty at night all lit up but some of my pictures were hard to get. Had to go back during the day to get pictures. The flowers were really pretty.

The tour showed some neat old architecture but wasn't really that awesome. I mean this is like visiting with the World Series runner up. If you like old buildings that have been kept up very nicely then enjoy.

Has the largest circular staircase in the world that is not supported. The rest of the place is unique as well. Check it out definitely.

Had the privilege of giving tours after it had been redecorated. The decorators did an excellent job. Still used alot of original antiques. Loved learning the history of the mansion and some of the furniture.
