The owners are very open to questions and let you truly experience their pottery making. Buy something! They are small business and add a lot to Kentucky. I bought a spoonbread dish. It was expensive but unique.

I had the pleasure of going to Tater Knob, and visiting with Sarah and Jeff. Very friendly place. I was immediately invited in for coffee and talked with Sarah while she worked on honey pots. She explained the process of making pottery, glazing, coloring, etc....More

Once you find this place you'll love it. The potters and jewelry makers are on site and happy to talk to customers. The pottery is beautiful and unique. The jewelry is well crafted. Worth the drive to get there.

We visited during weekday. I' d expect weekends would be more crowded and thereby less personal attention.
