We went to Bardstown Ky on Derby Day simply to get out of Louisville. We brought a friend to visit Heaven Hill Bourbon to take tour. I checked and website indicated it was open. When we got there at 3 they had closed. Next time...More

After so many distillery tours, I would recommend this as a great starting point. Especially if you're a READING learning style. The timeline displays along two walls are very helpful. And that's FREE! Other than that, there's a large gift shop, which is nice to...More

I arrived here with my brother early on a Saturday morning to discover that in addition to our tour, this day was the release of Barrel #8 of William Heavenhill 14 year single barrel whiskey, which I quickly snatched up before we purchased tour tickets....More

Even though two local agencies listed this place as a distillery tour, their distillery burned down 15 years ago. They give tours, but you sit in a room and sip Bourbon. Not a bad end in itself, but not a tour either. Their displays on...More

I have visited the Heaven Hill Bourbon Heritage Center on many different occasions, usually related to the Bourbon Trail. There seem to be two different "tours" that are offered, at least that we have participated in. One is a tasting exercise with history, one is...More

The information Center is very well done and informational. They have a great gift shop with a wonderful variety of items. BUT we asked to take the tour. Next one starting at 12:30. $20/person. Seemed a bit high, but we drove a long way to...More

We're starting to get into bourbon and have taken several tours. So far, no tour has been bad. In fact, they've all been Great! You'd think the tours would be the same, but they all have different twists, and you always learn something. At least...More

This was the first tour we took on Kentucky's Bourbon Trail. It was a combination of videos and the guide giving information. Our guide was a little hard to understand, but we still learned a lot. We tasted some very good bourbon.

A short drive off of the Bluegrass Parkway, this gem offers both an historic lesson on the area and how bourbon is made as well as a friendly staff who desire to share the rich tradition of Heaven's Hill. While there is no distillery on...More

Heaven Hill Bourbon Heritage Center is an awesome place to taste quality bourbon. Very different type of tour. You have time to taste some really good bourbon and discuss bourbon with your friends and others in the tasting. Can't wait to go back.

This depends on what you are looking for. If you want to go to a Rickhouse, then the Heritage Center is the place (not to mention that the tasting afterwards is in a cool looking room). If you are interested in the history... More
