Just a quick 2 mile detour off of I70. If you are into Roadside America attractions this is a great stop. It is large and very colorful. It was nice to get out and stretch my legs while snapping a few pictures. I nice lady...More

You’ve read about it online and since you are driving along I-70 on the way to your destination, you want to see what all the fuss is about. It’s about 2 miles off the freeway. Sure it’s cheezy, but that’s what makes it so much...More

I like a town that immerses itself in a unique culture like Wilson does. This egg is interesting enough to make the effort to see it. Should you need a bit to eat or a cold beer there is a restaurant in the basement of...More

It is just a really big plaster egg, but good photo opportunity. Good signage. I guess if you are collecting "world's biggest" visit this is must . . .

Gotta stop and get a selfie at the huge Czech egg and check out shops nearby. Grandma Junk and all the doors you can open. Head downtown to several fabulous finds with original Soda Jerk choices at Grandmas Soda shop. Also great pizza, bierocks, and...More

I snapped a pic of this egg from my car window. Yeah, I could have gotten out and read some signs that explained more about why this giant egg was there in the first place, but I didn’t. It did get quite a few likes...More

First off, THANK YOU for your nice review of the egg! I don't really have a question, just a correction of sorts. The review says there is nothing to do in town but see the egg. Well, there are several things to do in town in addition to seeing the egg. For instance: Visit the Midland Hotel which is a renovated historic hotel that was rated one of the top 50 US hotels of its kind by MSN, visit the Midland Mercantile, visit the antique shop, take a self guided walking tour of the town, visit the round limestone jail, take a stroll down Main Street to view the limestone buildings made of locally quarried limestone, have a bite to eat and sample authentic Czech food at one of the restaurants in town, stop in Wilson Foods for some smoked sausage, or visit the spray park to cool off. If you pass through again maybe you'll have time to "Czech Out" one of the other great things to do in Wilson.

You're right Scott, that wasn't a question. It was "my" opinion, of the things that I saw on my way out of town. You are, of course, free to write your own review. We drove down most of the streets of Wilson, looking for... More
