Closed, shopping center to be razed

Closed, shopping center to be razed. It was a good place to go see a movie with a discounted price. Try the location on 95th and Mission Rd. in Leawood KS

Purchasing tickets at the theater is a bit slow and the concession stand had slow service too. The theater we were in had a smaller screen than we prefer, but seats were pretty comfortable just lower than most, we noticed some patrons had difficult time using. The aisles were wider than most so there was good amount of legroom. There... More

The Glenwood Arts used to be located at the Metcalf South Mall, one block west of 95th St. and Metcalf Ave. Since the closing of the mall, the Glenwood Arts has relocated to the former site of the Ranchmart Theatre--now closed--at 3707 W. 95th Street. The Glenwood Arts Theatre is on the lower level of a quirky strip mall that's... More

Sadly, the Glenwood has moved from this classic location to Leawood. Still a wonderful place to see great movies, though. We love the selection of films and the theatre is relaxed and comfortable. I hope they will move the little cafe to Leawood eventually also--best carrot cake I've ever had!

Decent prices and very interesting movies for the most part. Since it's located in the old Metcalf South shopping center, we're not sure how much longer we're going to be able to enjoy this place....

I am so glad we have the Glenwood Arts Theatre in the Kansas City area. It consistently screens important films necessary for any true metropolitan community. To enhance your experience, they have recently added a cafe that serves lovely sandwiches, soups, and delicious desserts. Wonderful place!

The theatres are small and intimate. The seats are not the most comfortable, BUT it is worth it to see movies with mature audiences and no kids. The employees are always friendly. Convenient location with no-hassle parking.

If you want to see indecent and thought provoking movies this is where to go. They have a good selection and timely movies. They fill up so get there early.

This is an older theater that offers great films for the mature guest. While they offer a smaller intimate theater experience with no noisy children. We watched the movie Chef and loved it! Give the Glenwood Arts a chance..

I feel like I'm entering an old time theater in a very small town in the 1960s. Wish they'd update the bathrooms. If their movies were being shown at the big theaters, I'd go there.
